Main Pharmacy

The main pharmacy fills prescriptions ordered during visits at the clinic.

New prescriptions MUST BE activated through one of these options:

  1. Text “Get in line” to 833-338-1720 to use our text activation system. You’ll need the DODID# for each patient needing prescriptions activated. Choose the Offutt AFB Clinic Pharmacy.
  2. Check-in at the pharmacy kiosk to activate your ordered prescription(s).

Once processed, the pharmacy will hold prescriptions for seven duty days before medications are returned to stock. Patients must submit prescription renewal requests (when prescription has expired or has no refills remaining) to their Primary Care Manager (PCM).

Satellite Pharmacy
The lobby is open for pick-up and handwritten prescription drop-off. The satellite pharmacy processes all prescription refills. If you have a prescription from a TRICARE network or non-network doctor, you may fill it here, as long as it’s available on our Basic Core Formulary.

The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal now allows prescription refill requests. Learn more at https://tricare.mil/mhsgenesisrxrefills. Refills can be requested through the telephone refill line at 402-294-4758. Prescription refills will be ready for pickup

three

duty days after request. Refills not picked up after seven duty days are returned to stock.

All new prescriptions MUST BE activated before going to the pharmacy. We have three options for activating prescriptions:

  1. Text “Get in line” to 833-338-1720 to use our text activation system, which will guide you through the process. You’ll need the DOD Benefit ID# for each patient needing prescriptions activated, then choose the Offutt AFB Satellite Pharmacy.
  2. Visit the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal and send a new message to the Offutt BX Satellite Pharmacy (search for Offutt BX in the To field).
  3. Call the pharmacy staff at 402-294-3228 or 294-3229.

This service can also be used to check if your provider has entered a new prescription, see if certain medications are in stock or to verify receipt of electronic or faxed prescriptions sent from off-base providers to the Satellite Pharmacy. All prescription renewals with no refills remaining must be requested from the patient’s Primary Care Manager .

ScriptCenter Kiosk

The Satellite Pharmacy also offers ScriptCenter kiosk pickup. This secure, convenient, and private way allows you to pick up prescriptions (not refrigerated) during BX operating hours, even if the Satellite Pharmacy is closed.

First, you need to complete a one-time enrollment at a ScriptCenter kiosk. To do this, scan your military ID card (Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID Card), enter your date of birth, and create a password and four-digit pin. To pick up your medications the first time, you must have a current prescription number. Once you create an account, you can use your fingerprint, ID card, or password with your four-digit pin to unlock and get your medications. When refilling your prescription, select “ScriptCenter kiosk” as your pickup location.

For more information on the ScriptCenter kiosk, contact the pharmacy staff.

TRICARE Formulary

The TRICARE Formulary is a list of generic and brand-name prescription drugs covered by TRICARE. You can search the TRICARE Formulary to:

  • See how much it costs and where you can get it filled
  • See if your prescription needsprior authorization
  • Look up the medical necessity criteria
  • Get the prior authorization and medical necessity forms for your prescription

Other Pharmacy Options

As a TRICARE beneficiary, you have other pharmacy options:

  • You can use the TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery to have prescriptions sent to your home. This is the least expensive way to fill prescriptions after filling it here.
  • If you need a prescription filled after hours or when traveling, use a TRICARE network pharmacy.

Special Drug Requests

Special Drug Requests are medications that we do not regularly carry on our Formulary. Your primary care manager may enter a Special Drug Request directly through our computer system. Pharmacy staff will contact you with any questions and/or to notify you that your prescription is available for pick-up.

Prescriptions for Special Drug Requests from a non-military/off-base provider must be submitted to your PCM for submission and review. The original paper prescription from the off-base provider must be delivered to the Satellite Pharmacy for validation and if approved, the Pharmacy staff will contact you when your prescription is available for pick-up at the Satellite Pharmacy.
